Si certaines personnes font le choix d’accoucher à domiciles, d’autres n’ont pas d’autres possibilités, tant leur bébé est pressé d’arriver. Et c’est précisément ce qui est arrivé le 13 août dernier à une famille de Saint-Gildas-de-Rhuys, dans le Morbihan.
Les parents étaient à la maternité le matin même
Yohan et Cécile, un jeune couple, savaient que leur petit garçon allait arriver à tout moment puisque le 13 août était censé être le jour de leur terme. Le matin, ils s’étaient donc rendu à la maternité de Vannes pour un examen de contrôle, mais les médecins étaient formels.
Mais en début d’après-midi, les contractions débutent, et s’intensifient. “Ce n’est que sur les coups de 18 h qu’elles sont devenues régulières. J’en avais une toutes les deux minutes. Normalement il faut attendre deux heures de régularité avant de se rendre à la maternité“, raconte Cécile. Mais Yohan a préféré prendre les devants, et a appelé sa propre mère, qui habite à proximité, pour qu’elle puisse les conduire à l’hôpital.
Le samu n’a pas eu le temps d’arriver
Le jeune homme a définitivement eu le bon réflexe, car les contractions de sa compagne se sont accélérées à toute vitesse : “Face à la douleur qui continuait de croître, j’ai également contacté le Samu pour qu’ils viennent nous chercher en urgence. Cécile avait déjà perdu les eaux.“
A son arrivée, la future grand-mère comprend vite que l’ambulance n’aura pas le temps d’arriver. “J’ai tout de suite compris qu’elle n’allait pas pouvoir se déplacer et que le travail allait se terminer sur le carrelage.” Et elle avait raison : “Elle a poussé une fois. Puis deux. La troisième fut la bonne.” Malheureusement, le cordon ombilical était enroulé autour du cou du bébé, et sans la rapidité de réaction de sa belle-mère, Cécile aurait pu perdre son enfant : “Il était tout violet, je n’ai pas réfléchi. Sans le couper j’ai immédiatement pris soin de le dénouer. Je l’ai ensuite gardé dans mes bras une dizaine de minutes, le temps que les secours arrivent.”
Bonne nouvelle : la grand-mère a eu les bons gestes, et le petit Neven comme sa maman se portent bien. Mais ils se souviendront toujours des conditions très particulières de cet accouchement à domicile.
